Breaking Down the Stovepipes: The New Fight for Intelligence Advantage

As more data and data sources become available, mission objectives have shifted from simply collecting more information to making sense of it.

During an interview with Fed Gov Today at DODIIS 2026, Dave Reynolds, senior vice president and division manager for Mission and Engineering Support, discussed how intelligence fusion is becoming essential for turning data into insight for analysts and decision makers.

“Over the last couple of years, massive volumes of data (have become) available to analysts to be able to exploit and make use of,” Reynolds said. “And it’s the ability to understand that data, gain mission insight, and understanding of what the mission outcomes need to be and then correlating that data to pivot to make some decisions that allow us to have an advantage over the adversary.”
