DarkBlue at OSMOSIS: DC Expo 2025

The DarkBlue team recently attended the OSMOSIS: DC Expo in Reston, VA—an event designed to bring the OSINT community together through hands-on demos, expert insights, and meaningful conversations.

This year’s theme centered around professionalizing OSINT as a discipline—a topic that resonated throughout the expo floor. Many sessions and conversations focused on the need to define standard roles, processes, and certifications for OSINT practitioners, especially as the discipline continues to evolve and intersect with national security, law enforcement, and corporate risk.

We were especially encouraged by the focus on evolving collection methods. Today’s most actionable intelligence doesn’t just come from surface web sources—it increasingly lives in dark web forums, Telegram channels, and other hard-to-access platforms with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). That’s why DarkBlue focuses on surfacing this type of data, making it safe and searchable for analysts across sectors.

From dark web marketplaces to closed community apps like Telegram, our platform collects, enriches, and organizes content to help investigators spot patterns, attribute threats, and act faster. For us, the highlight of the event was connecting face-to-face with partners and customers. Our marketing manager and new customer success manager were onsite to share product updates, listen to feedback, and join in the broader conversation about where open-source intelligence is headed.
