CACI Successfully Completes Operational Evaluation of its Next Generation Counter Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma

CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) participated in a recent Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) exercise at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, to demonstrate the operational capabilities of its leading AI-enabled, long-range counter unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) technology, SkyValor™.

“We are honored to bring SkyValor to the Southern Border to showcase how CACI can protect our nation from growing UAS threats,” said Tanya Skeen, CACI Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development. “What we proved at Yuma is simple: CACI’s software‑defined C-UAS technology is ready now, scalable, and built to counter rapidly evolving unmanned threats with sophisticated detection, tracking, and identification capabilities and, when necessary, precision defeat. Our operators deserve a system that adapts as fast as the threat, and SkyValor is engineered to do exactly that.”

SkyValor takes CACI’s C-UxS technology suite to the next level, reducing decision time and delivering true mission advantage through early long‑range detection, automated non‑kinetic defeat using low‑collateral effects.

The successful completion of this two-day evaluation marks a significant milestone for SkyValor, formerly known as Merlin. It completed a rigorous series of operational tests against varied UAS flight profiles, proving it can extend RF detection ranges for earlier warning, engage in detection and disruption, and provide a precise, non-kinetic detect and defeat option, including new cellular drones.

“This demonstration is an example of how we are using a whole-of-government approach to work alongside industry and rapidly validate a range of counter-UAS tools,” said Brig. Gen. Matt Ross, director of JIATF-401. “Having an effective non-kinetic defeat option is a crucial component of strong, layered, counter-drone defenses.”

JIATF-401 and CACI intend to continue this collaborative development effort, to include the future integration of SkyValor's sensors and effectors into Lattice OS. This demonstration is one example of how JIATF-401is working with key industry partners to develop counter-UAS capabilities and strengthen homeland defense.
