Susan M. Gordon
Susan Gordon is an outside director on CACI International Inc’s board of directors, a Fortune 500™ company with more than 25,000 employees committed to expanding the limits of national security.
In August 2017, Gordon became the fifth principal deputy director of national intelligence and served in that role until August 2019. In that capacity, she served as a key advisor to the president and the National Security Council, providing leadership to the 17-member intelligence community. She focused on advancing intelligence integration, expanding outreach and partnerships, and driving innovation across the intelligence community.
From 2015 to 2017, Gordon served as deputy director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where she helped lead the agency and managed the National System for Geospatial Intelligence. In that role, she led the agency’s transformation to meet the challenges of a 21st-century intelligence organization.
Before her assignment at the NGA, Gordon served for 27 years at the Central Intelligence Agency, rising to senior executive positions in each of the agency’s four directorates at the time: operations, analysis, science and technology, and support. In 1998, she led the effort that resulted in the formation of In-Q-Tel.
Gordon serves on the board of directors of BlackSky Technology Inc., a publicly traded corporation, and on the boards of Avantus Federal, OneWeb Technologies, and Freedom Consulting, all private companies. She is also a university fellow and advises private companies on technology, strategy, and leadership. Gordon has received numerous government and industry awards recognizing her creative executive leadership.
