Matt Anderson
Matt Anderson is vice president, U.S. Space Force and Air Force client executive at CACI International Inc, a Fortune 500™ company with more than 26,000 employees committed to expanding the limits of national security.
After serving over 24 years in the Air Force, Colonel (Retired) Anderson joined CACI International in July 2021. In his current role, he is responsible for providing knowledge, insight & access to the Space Force and Air Force.
During his Air Force career, Anderson commanded the United States’ only nuclear weapon airlift squadron and remains one of the rare pilots to have landed a C-17 on an ice runway in Antarctica. After completing his senior fellowship at the George C. Marshall Center in Garmisch, Germany, Anderson published his thesis on NATO nuclear deterrence in 2016. He retired as the USTRANSCOM Liaison Officer to USSPACECOM, USNORTHCOM & NORAD in 2021.
A Space Force Association (SFA) member since 2020, Anderson has served in multiple roles within SFA, including the director of outreach, chief operating officer, and currently as the chief growth officer. SFA is a private, member-based, national non-profit that supports the United States’ newest military branch since SFA’s inception in November 2019.
Anderson graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with athletic distinction in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. As a cadet, he served as the team captain of the varsity soccer team where he led the Falcons to the #3 ranking in the nation his senior year. He also holds a Master of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aeronautical Science and a Master of Arts from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs in Leadership and Counseling. He is a command pilot with over 4,800 flight hours in the C-17, T-1, T-6 and T-37 aircraft.
