Dr. Dave Young
Dr. Dave Young serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer at CACI International Inc., a Fortune 500™ national security company with 27,000 employees committed to expanding the limits of national security.
In this role, Young will draw on his extensive operational experience to bring the discipline and strategic insight needed to help CACI deliver complex customer capabilities while helping to accelerate business growth.
Young joins CACI with significant operational, technical, and national security leadership experience across aerospace and defense technology, advanced systems, and other mission focused businesses. Prior to joining CACI, Young served as general manager of National Security Space at Lockheed Martin, where he held full profit-and-loss responsibility for a business generating approximately $7 billion in annual revenue. In this role, he led satellite, satellite ground, and space warfighting portfolios, overseeing more than 250 defense and intelligence programs and a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees.
Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of CAES, where he led operations, engineering, advanced programs, business development, communications, government relations, and strategy across a more than $1 billion defense electronics business. Earlier in his career, Young held senior leadership roles at Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.
Young holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as bachelor’s degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Physics from Clarkson University.
