Charles L. Szews

Charles L. Szews is an outside director on CACI International Inc’s board of directors, a Fortune 500™ company with more than 25,000 employees committed to expanding the limits of national security.

Szews has extensive manufacturing and technology experience serving Department of Defense and commercial customers as well as international markets. He brings broad financial, audit, operational, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions expertise from more than 20 years in leadership roles as chief operating officer, chief financial officer, chief executive officer, and chairman.

From 2012 to 2015, Szews served as chief executive officer of Oshkosh Corporation, a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of specialty vehicles and vehicle bodies. During his 20 years with Oshkosh, he also served as president and chief executive officer from 2011 to 2012, president and chief operating officer from 2007 to 2011, and executive vice president and chief financial officer from 1997 to 2007.

Before joining Oshkosh, Szews held a series of executive positions with Fort Howard Corporation for eight years. Earlier in his career, he worked as an auditor with Ernst and Young, serving in various offices and capacities over a 10-year period.

Szews serves as a director for Commercial Metals Company, a producer of products for the construction industry, and Group 1 Automotive Inc., an automobile retailer.
