CACI President and CEO Ken Asbury Honored as Hero of the Year by Final Salute
CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury will be honored as Hero of the Year by Final Salute Inc. for his role in championing veterans and their families through company-wide initiatives spanning veteran hiring, recruiting, mentorship, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Final Salute Inc. provides homeless women veterans with safe and suitable housing, and works with each veteran in establishing her plan toward independence.
CACI is committed to hiring veterans and veterans with disabilities, recognizing that they have the experienced skillsets, character, and dedication to deliver exceptional support for the national missions CACI serves. Strengthened by Mr. Asbury's efforts, CACI's veteran hiring initiatives make the company a national leader in this area, with veterans constituting approximately 30% of the company's workforce, and 1,809 veterans hired in CACI's fiscal year 2015.
CACI's commitment to veterans has earned the company significant industry recognition. Most recently, CACI was named one of the 2016 Most Valuable Employers for Military by CivilianJobs.com and Military Times ranked CACI on their "Best for Vets" Employer list. Under Mr. Asbury's guidance, CACI also supports numerous philanthropic programs that assist veterans and their families, including, for the last four years, Final Salute Inc.
"On behalf of everyone at CACI," said Mr. Asbury, "I would like to thank Final Salute for this honor and recognition," said Ken. "Veterans returning to civilian life face many challenges. Finding a safe and secure place to live should never be one of them; yet it's estimated that over 55,000 American female veterans and their families are homeless. Final Salute does great work helping female veterans find and hold on to good homes. We are very proud to support this great organization in the vital work that they do."
