CACI Marks Pearl Harbor Day

The surprise attacks from Japanese forces on December 7, 1941, striking our nation’s naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, accounted for the deadliest day for the U.S. military since the Battle of Antietam in 1862. With more than 2,400 people lost, over 1,100 wounded, and the Pacific fleet heavily damaged, we realized our geographic separation from Asia and Europe did not isolate us from World War II.

December 7, 1941, labeled a “date which will live in infamy” by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, reminds us of the importance of both military readiness and intelligence in protecting our nation. CACI is proud to support preparedness in our nation and abroad by serving the critical missions of our government customers with innovative solutions in intelligence analysis, logistics and material readiness, and geospatial data gathering to defend our nation’s interests and freedom.

On this 73rd anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, we remember those who forever rest within the USS Arizona, the largest ship sunk at Pearl Harbor and now an enduring memorial. And we remain committed to serving the dedicated men and women in our Armed Forces and Intelligence Community who help safeguard our nation and its citizens each and every day.
