Elva Sanborn spent 21 years in the U.S. Army, the last 11 years as a career counselor helping soldiers and their spouses figure out whether to stay in the service or transition out into the private sector/U.S. Army Reserve/U.S. Army National Guard.

She enjoyed the work, saying "Being able to work with a diverse population, give advice, be a mentor ...it was rewarding and challenging. It felt good to be in an organization that let me feel that I was able to make a difference for people who needed some guidance and advice."

Elva goes on to point out, "One thing I learned in the military is to always treat people with dignity and respect. This experience carried over with what I now do at CACI as a recruiter for background investigators under contracts with the Office of Personnel Management and Customs and Border Patrol."

As far as her own future at CACI is concerned, Elva hopes to keep being part of a team, making a difference and moving along a solid career path.
