CACI Supports the USO

CACI is a proud and long-term patron of the United Service Organizations (USO). The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support our troops by providing morale, welfare and recreational services.

Through the USO of Metropolitan Washington (USO-Metro), CACI has co-sponsored or provided dollars for a number of fund raising events and other projects the USO is undertaking. In addition, CACI President of U.S. Operations Bill Fairl serves on USO-Metro's Board.

USO-Metro administers several programs and services for local military and their families, including Ticketline, emergency housing and food assistance programs, job fairs, holiday programs, hospital visits and orientation programs.

Some CACI sponsored USO-Metro activities

  • CACI's largest undertaking on behalf of USO-Metro benefited the opening of the USO Lounge at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC. As a major contributor and co-sponsor under a five-year financial commitment CACI is providing volunteers and helping the USO provide services.
  • CACI co-sponsored lunch for hungry golfers at 15th Annual AFCEA/USO Golf Classic held on July 30, 2007 at the Greg Norman Golf Course in Lansdowne, VA
  • The USO-Metro's Annual "Stars and Stripes, Diamonds and Clubs" Casino Night received help from CACI - another five-year commitment. This fund raising event was held September 21, 2007 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA. Representing CACI was President of U.S. Operations and USO-Metro Board member Bill Fairl.

"With the majority of our business groups supporting our military and the Department of Defense," said Fairl, "supporting an organization like the USO is a natural fit for CACI. No one deserves the services that an organization like the USO provides more than our selfless, heroic troops and their families."

USO-Metro relies solely on special event fundraising and the generosity of private individuals and corporations to fund its programs and allocates 91% of its annual budget to provide troop support. More information can be obtained by visiting www.USOMetroDC.org.
