Preserving Our National Treasures, Helping Our National HeroesWith CACI headquarters in the Washington, DC metro area, we live with America's history every day, honored to be in the midst of so many of our nation's monuments and the documents that helped shape America - our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Well known memorials include those dedicated to Jefferson, Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt... plus those that immortalize the sacrifices of our soldiers throughout the country's history. The unique network of museums and art galleries, research projects and preservation initiatives is embodied by the world famous Smithsonian Institution. So it's only natural that CACI is deeply involved in supporting historical institutions and the invaluable contributions these national treasures make. They preserve America's heritage, open up our lives to knowledge and enlightenment, and provide us with an unmatched window on history. Through Project Philanthropy, CACI supports
At CACI we fully understand that national treasures mean much more than stately buildings of mortar and marble. In recent years, as America's national priorities have changed dramatically, we have a renewed commitment and responsibility to support the men and women in our armed forces. The attacks on the U.S. on September 11, the global war on terrorism and the unprecedented threats to our nation's security remind us that our military personnel, the organizations that support them and the memorials erected to honor them, are also "national treasures" of unmatched importance and significance. We honor our country by striving to look beyond the work we do every day to provide the IT and network solutions needed to prevail in today's new era of defense, intelligence and e-government. So we work hard to support causes that matter, causes that recognize the patriotism, the glorious sense of nationhood, that is the bedrock of American values. As part of an overall September 11 Recovery Program that CACI created to support charitable organizations assisting those affected by the attacks, we made corporate contributions to support the American Patriot Fund, which provided assistance, support and education through annuities for the minor children of those killed or permanently disabled because of the terrorist attack on the Pentagon. Moreover, our contributions have helped the Pentagon Memorial - a tribute to the individuals who lost their lives at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 - become a reality. CACI also supports the worthwhile nonprofit organization Comfort for America's Uniformed Services (Cause) in its mission to bring comfort and recreation into the lives of young men and women recuperating from wounds and injuries suffered in the war on terrorism. |
