CACI MTL's involvement in modeling and simulation of sensor systems includes

CACI MTL's experience in sensor systems modeling and simulation ranges from broad technology applications to specific systems and mission scenarios. We have simulated conventional radars, synthetic aperture radars (SARs), infrared systems (including infrared search and track (IRST) and forward looking infrared (FLIR) sensors) and electro-optical systems (such as night vision sensors). We have developed phenomenology models for deterministic infrared scene generation and for multilayered and multi-path electromagnetic transmission, reflection and absorption.
CACI MTL can provide a wide range of simulation fidelity and precision depending on whether the requirements call for coarse or fine grained system characteristics. We strive to balance fidelity and precision with real time execution needs to achieve effective simulation solutions. CACI MTL exploits innovations in emerging technologies (e.g., direct imagery synthesis, fractal and chaos-based modeling approaches, and statistical signal and image characterization) to develop simulations that have fast execution, reduced memory consumption and low CPU utilization.
