CACI MTL has approximately 10,190 square feet of space configured for design, fabrication, assembly, storage and shipping of special items and prototype components/systems. The facilities include
- A mechanical design/fabrication center with a machine shop
- An electronic design and fabrication center
- Computer aided design (CAD) software for both electronic and mechanical applications
- A shipping and receiving area with an Instapak foam packing system and a Hyster forklift
- A storage area for government furnished property (GFP)
Our Electronic Design/Fabrication Center includes a suite of computer-based hardware and software to support design, fabrication, calibration, testing and repair of specialty and prototype electronic products. The facility includes various power sources (230 VAC/60 Hz, 115 VAC/60 Hz, 28 VDC), instrument quality compressed air and a ventilated workstation for component and circuit board cleaning.

The facility has computer aided design (CAD) software, including

- PADS PowerPCB
for designing electronic components, chasses, multi-layer circuit board assemblies and other specialty items.
Our Mechanical Design/Fabrication Center supports design, development, assembly and modification of special and prototype mechanical products. The facility includes design workstations, a machine shop and a large assembly area for oversize items. We use Autodesk AutoCAD computer aided design (CAD) software to produce mechanical designs and associated drawings. Our machine shop produces and modifies special and prototype mechanical products made of wood, aluminum, stainless steel, cold rolled steel, fiberglass and various plastics.
