The Cyber Attack Mitigation and Exploitation Lab (CAMEL) is an Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate (AFRL/IF) program supporting the Cyber Operations Technology Focus Area
Initiated in FY06 through a Congressional plus-up to establish a real world database of cyber attack signatures to aid in the development of defensive and offensive IW technologies
Data generated under the CAMEL Program will be used to test, validate and optimize defensive cyber tools and technologies and potentially provide insight into novel approaches for offensive cyber research
Results of reverse engineering and attack signatures generated under CAMEL will be provided to the agency supplying malware samples and the community in general (as appropriate)
