Audio and Web Conferencing

CACI currently has two conferencing solutions - IBM Lotus Sametime and InterCall. Both offer the same basic web conferencing services - white boarding, screen sharing, etc.

IBM Lotus Sametime - a web conferencing solution that CACI owns and hosts within our own data centers. Sametime is linked to our Lotus Notes mail system, so each user with a Lotus Notes account also has a Sametime account. CIS manages Sametime licenses in the same manner as Lotus Notes licenses - users will not incur costs for using this service.

The Sametime solution also has the ability to extend web conferences to external users (CACI clients or remote users) through the use of an external server. External users must go through a self-registration process to use Sametime for the first time. Sametime uses Java applets during meetings - this may be a problem if an external location blocks Java.

Sametime first time users instructions

InterCall - a conference hosting service. It provides several hosted services to CACI, including audio conference calling and web conferencing. InterCall's web conferencing service is a "pay as you use it" service. Charges are per user, per minute and are billed to the user's home organization.

InterCall is hosted outside CACI and is available to both internal and external users. InterCall uses Microsoft ActiveX during meetings - this may be a problem if an external location blocks ActiveX.

If you currently have an InterCall audio conferencing account you can use Conference Place immediately. To schedule a conference go to InterCall's login page - use the user login and password listed at the bottom of your InterCall card.

If you do not currently have a profile with InterCall request an account at https://livemeeting.com/cc/caci or call 888-296-2316 to enroll over the telephone.
