- Several CACI buildings have vending machines and/or cafes that sell bottled beverages. Recycling in these buildings is
limited to paper and cans only. It would be nice to have bottle recycling collection bins at every site, as well in CACI
leased or owned buildings. Suggest having recycle bins - for non-class - throughout CACI buildings. Ensure that cleaning company will collect weekly.
- Recycle boxes! Sell them to moving companies.
- Beyond recycling paper, CACI should establish a procurement policy that by 2009, 90% of our paper needs will be recycled
products. This will reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions used for virgin paper production. Recycled paper is still
more expensive costs than virgin paper. So to be both competitive and "Green," CACI should take a leadership role along with
our customers by publicly challenging our competitors and suppliers to join us in this goal. References: Our customers are
already complying with the President's Executive Order 13101. The government recognizes our competitors for their compliance. Visit

- CACI policy should ensure that all electronic devices, from computers and cell phones to VPN tags, are recycled consistent
with the Federal Electronics Challenge program. Current instructions for VPN tags are to throw them away when replaced.

- Make recycling collection boxes/bins available for newspapers and magazines. CACI employees receive numerous free
periodicals at their sites weekly. Many end up in the regular trash. We do have recycling bins but they are marked "Office
Paper Only." The bins get good usage, indicating that people will recycle if it's easy. But we don't have receptacles for the
newspapers and magazines. We could provide newspaper/magazine bins at minimal cost.*
- Have 100% recycled paper and toilet paper around the office and bathrooms.*
* Several employees have submitted this "going green" idea.
