Meet the Team

Melanie Crotts Melanie Crotts serves as CACI's Defense Travel Training and Support Team Lead Instructor. Prior to joining Team CACI in 2005 she was the Lead Travel Consultant for 16 years at the Norfolk Naval Base Sato Travel, Commercial Travel Office. Over the past five years she has educated many thousands of defense travel and financial professionals and holds the distinction of training more defense travel administrators than any other individual.

During her time with CACI Melanie has served with distinction as a member of the Navy's Defense Travel System implementation team, Navy 2.5 help desk and the Defense Travel Management Office's training team. She continues to excel as the primary training instructor for the DTMO's Travel Assistance Center's contractor and civilian workforce.

In addition to her responsibilities as lead instructor, Melanie is also responsible for the development of the training curriculum, exercises, planning the training schedule and is a primary point of contact for individual organizational training. Her training team enjoys superb customer satisfaction ratings and scores are closely monitored within our ISO 9001:2008 Certified Quality Management System.

Kimberly Leist

Kimberly Leist serves as CACI's Technical Training Center Instructor for Approving and Reviewing Official training. Prior to joining our team, Kim served in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer, retiring after 20 years of service. During her time in the Navy she was Lead Defense Travel Agent (LDTA) providing training and assistance with processing authorizations and vouchers.

As a certified Navy Instructor, she drafted annual training plans as well as directed and trained personnel on General Military Training and numerous DOD programs. As a skilled instructor, she has managed Command Manger Equal Opportunity (CMEO), Alcohol and Drug Abuse for Managers and Supervisors (ADAMS), Navy Rights and Responsibilities, Defense Travel System (DTS), and Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

Kim's years of Defense Travel System (DTS) experience, knowledge of Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) policy and Financial Management Regulation (FMR) makes her the ideal instructor for Approving and Reviewing Official train on the East and West Coasts.

Gina ZinkGina Zink serves as CACI's Technical Training Center’s Support Team Coordinator. Prior to joining Team CACI in 2013 she was a Financial Aid Consultant for 5 years at ECPI University.

Gina’s background is mainly as a Financial Consultant, supporting a variety of DoD projects including the SARMIS, CFMS, and CNRFC projects.  Her duties included tracking funding execution for labor and materials, authoring and maintaining project documentation and other contract deliverables.

Gina is the primary point of contact for course attendees, purchase card holders, and Financial representatives processing registrations for all CACI Technical Training Center Defense Travel System courses. In addition to her role as coordinator, she handles marketing, media communication, and website design for the CACI Technical Training Center.
