CACI Senior VP Zalmai Azmi Accepted to Intelligence and National Security Cyber Council

CACI Senior Vice President and cybersecurity expert Zalmai Azmi has been chosen by a selection committee to sit on the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) Cyber Council, a group of current and former business and government executives with a deep knowledge of cybersecurity. As a council member, Mr. Azmi will have the opportunity to participate on three subcommittees focusing on cloud computing, cyber intelligence and cyber education and training. The INSA Cyber Council was formed in support of President Obama's commission of a 60-day cyber policy review.

In 2009, the council submitted to the White House and published a review on the critical issues of internet assurance from the perspective of American business. Currently, it is looking at ways to implement a public-private partnership model for cybersecurity. The council is chaired by Terry Roberts, Executive Director of the Acquisition Support Program/Interagency and Cyber at the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute. INSA is a non-profit, non-partisan, public-private organization that works to promote and recognize the highest standards within the national security and intelligence communities. For more information on INSA or the Cyber Council, see http://www.insaonline.org/.

At CACI, Mr. Azmi leads the Cyber Solutions Group and Cyber Solutions Lab. Opened in 2010, the lab offers a unique capability to meet the increasingly urgent need for cyberspace operations. It provides tools, training and resources that enable CACI customers to evaluate emerging cyber solutions quickly and effectively. With the latest available technologies, it also serves as a test bed for technical solutions that clients can readily adopt to protect their cyber assets from mounting threats.
