Military Appreciation Month
Today kicks off Military Appreciation Month, which at CACI is a day we reflect on our commitment and longtime support of our U.S. military – demonstrated in the work we do for our customers, the philanthropy and volunteerism we engage in, and the great people we hire. In all they do, the men and women of the Armed Services act with courage, patriotism, and selfless service to our nation. We are especially appreciative and grateful to those employees who have served or who continue to serve in the military.
We encourage everyone to make time this month to show your appreciation for our U.S. military in some way – for example, by volunteering in a community event, visiting a national cemetery or memorial, or by simply saying “thank you” to a service member.
Military Appreciation Month includes five national observances:
May 1 – Loyalty Day, honoring our American heritage and the people who defend our nation today.
May 8 – V-E Day, celebrating the Allied victory in Europe at the end of World War II.
May 10 – Military Spouse Appreciation Day, recognizing the sacrifice and support of military spouses.
May 18 – Armed Forces Day, honoring members of all the U.S. Armed Forces – the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.
May 27 – Memorial Day, remembering and paying tribute to the military men and women who gave their lives to defend our freedoms.
On behalf of everyone at CACI, join us in celebrating our outstanding U.S. military. In this month and every month, we appreciate all that the U.S. military stands for – courage, patriotism, selfless service and personal sacrifice – and all that Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen do every day in preserving and protecting the freedoms we treasure as Americans.
Thank you for your service!
