CACI's Innovation Recognized at GCN DigIT Awards
Innovation is one of the foundational pillars of CACI and this was front and center during the 2017 GCN DigIT Awards Gala on October 19th. CACI was recognized with two distinctive honors at the awards event, which shined the spotlight on the transformative technology that is reinventing government and the pioneering IT companies and professionals who are driving them forward.
CACI received the inaugural Washington Technology Industry Innovator award in the Best Use of Strategic Hiring category for its recent hires and promotions at the executive level that contribute to CACI's continued growth and success. This includes the expansion of John Mengucci's strategic role as Chief Operating Officer and the appointment of DeEtte Gray as President of U.S. Operations. The strong executive team at CACI is a critical component to President and CEO Ken Asbury's three-part strategy of winning new business, delivering operational excellence, and growing organically and through strategic acquisitions Washington Technology noted.
Additionally, CACI lead computer systems engineer Michael Woodruff was named among the distinguished 2017 FCW Rising Stars. Mr. Woodruff provides technical support for the CACI Computer Systems Engineering group serving NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas, where his innovative thinking enabled JSC to meet quick-turnaround deadlines to assure the security of systems that manage high-tech innovations like space station robotics and NASA rovers.
