CACI Cares Named Best Corporate Volunteer Program by Volunteer Fairfax
CACI Cares, the philanthropy and employee volunteerism program of CACI International Inc, has received the 2015 Volunteer Fairfax Service Award for Best Corporate Volunteer Program. Established in 1993, the Volunteer Fairfax Service Awards honor individuals, groups, and organizations that have given outstanding volunteer service in the Northern Virginia area, where CACI is headquartered. The Best Corporate Volunteer Program award recognizes CACI’s exceptional service to Fairfax County and the Washington, D.C. Metro region community in 2014. CACI received the award at the Volunteer Fairfax Awards Ceremony on April 24, 2015 in Springfield, Va.
As a good corporate citizen, CACI helps foster company and civic pride by providing opportunities for employees to unite around important causes that align with its business-driven initiatives. This includes a longtime commitment to support the nation’s service members and veterans. In Northern Virginia, CACI is a patron of the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore (USO-Metro), and CACI volunteers have logged thousands of hours at USO-related initiatives over the past decade. In 2014, this support included sponsoring the Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir, the first USO facility to serve active duty, wounded, ill, and injured troops and their families at one integrated location. CACI employees frequently volunteer their time to assist with center activities such as game nights, dinners, and holiday events, which give recovering warriors a welcome respite from medical facilities.
CACI employees, many of whom are veterans themselves, care deeply about USO-Metro’s mission and the people it serves. On behalf of CACI’s outstanding employee volunteers, CACI Cares is honored to receive the Best Corporate Volunteer Program Award.
