CACI Marks the 224th Birthday of the U.S. Coast Guard
August 4 is the 224th birthday of the U.S. Coast Guard, which calls itself America's Maritime Guardian. Established in 1790 as the Revenue-Marine to prevent smuggling, it was officially renamed the Revenue Cutter Service in 1894 due to the type of boat it utilized. The Coast Guard was created and designated as a military service in 1915 through the merger of the Revenue Cutter Service and the U.S. Life-Saving Service.
CACI has been a trusted partner to the Coast Guard since 1996. Our work includes conducting training on ship interdiction of terrorists and narco-terrorists at sea, helping to identify policy and technology approaches to improve maritime domain awareness, and providing comprehensive maintenance effectiveness reviews for standard boat and cutter platforms. We even share a similar motto: The Coast Guard is "Always Ready," CACI is "Ever Vigilant."
CACI salutes the Coast Guard for another year of defending U.S. maritime interests in our nation, our ports, at sea, and around the world.
