CACI Celebrates Armed Forces Day 2014
With CACI's mission so closely aligned with supporting all those who serve to protect our nation and citizens, both at home and abroad, and our corporate commitment to employ those who have served, Armed Forces Day is of special significance to all of us at CACI.
Armed Forces Day was established in 1949 to replace separate Army, Navy, and Air Force Days with an annual unified, single-day celebration to recognize the patriotic service and valor of all the branches that were united within the new Department of Defense.
This sense of cooperation was bolstered in 1952 when then-Secretary of Defense Robert D. Lovett described Armed Forces Day as an occasion "to emphasize the practical application of unification in action, and to remind us of the continued need for unity in our Armed Forces and among all of our citizens in the interests of security and peace."
At CACI, we also are united in a very special commitment to our Armed Forces. We are dedicated to providing high-value solutions and services, delivered with integrity and good character, that help our military men and women carry out their vital missions of protecting our nation and keeping it free. Additionally, we devote a significant portion of our CACI Cares philanthropic support to those who have served, and we are industry leaders in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring veterans and wounded warriors. In this area, CACI is proud of having just been ranked #3 in the nation in the Military Times 2014 Best for Vets Employer survey, as well as our track record of hiring over 800 veterans annually for the past three years, including more than 200 with disabilities.
Today and every day, we thank the members of the Armed Forces for all they do to serve our nation.
