CACI Executive Speaks at Veterans Employment Symposium

Larry Clifton, CACI's Senior Vice President of Workforce Planning, recently spoke at the 2011 Veterans Employment Symposium co-sponsored by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the Departments of Defense, Labor, Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security. Held in late July in Washington, DC, the symposium provided a learning forum to discuss strategies and issues affecting the federal employment of veterans. Additional speakers included General Jon J. Miller, Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army Reserve Command, and Vice Admiral Kevin M. McCoy, Commander of the Naval Sea Systems Command.

As a guest speaker, Mr. Clifton shared information on CACI's military hiring practices - including the renowned Deploying Talent - Creating Careers program for hiring disabled veterans - with the 300 federal hiring managers, veteran employment program managers, and HR personnel who attended. Larry spoke at two breakout sessions on veteran talent management from a private-sector perspective.

"At CACI, military recruiting and hiring disabled veterans are very important to us," he said. "Attending events like the Veterans Employment Symposium is an ideal way for CACI to continue to learn from others and share our expertise in transitioning military service members into corporate America. CACI takes great pride in service to our country, and we recognize that military veterans have the talent, character, and commitment to duty that help CACI continue to make our clients' missions successful."

CACI employs veterans at every level of the organization, from staff to senior leadership, and its military-specific hiring practices have earned many awards and honors. In 2011, the Electronic Recruiting Exchange (ERE) selected CACI's Recruiting and Workforce Planning team as the runner-up for the first-ever Recruiting Excellence Award for Best Military Talent Program. CACI also placed #5 on G.I. Jobs' Top 100 Military-Friendly Employers list, and was named as one of Civilianjobs.com's Most Valuable Employers for the Military for the third consecutive year. Most recently, the U.S. Navy Reserve honored CACI as a top employer of National Guard and Navy Reserve Members.

If you are a military veteran, Guard member, or Reservist, CACI invites you to explore our job opportunities as you take the next step in your career.
