Executive Vice President, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, and Congressional Relations
Jody Brown is Executive Vice President of Public Relations, Corporate Communications, and Congressional Relations at CACI International Inc. She reports directly to Ken Asbury, CACI President and Chief Executive Officer, and provides special project support to Dr. J. Phillip London, Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board of CACI.
Ms. Brown initiates and directs the company's internal and external communications, public relations, congressional relations, marketing communications, corporate branding and strategies, philanthropy and community relations, and employee communications. She leads the coordination of strategic leadership events, provides critical direction for change management activities, and is a member of the company's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Executive Team. Ms. Brown provides strategic input and direction to the company's investor relations and has led or made major contributions to a wide range of projects and initiatives that have spurred and supported CACI's growth. Her contributions have been essential in enabling CACI to sharpen client focus, increase awareness of the company's solutions and capabilities, expand into new markets, enhance recruitment communications, and enhance shareholder value.
Contributing to CACI's growth initiatives, Ms. Brown manages internal and external communications and coordinates resources to ensure company-wide support for strategic goals. She has led the company's change management communications program during internal operations alignment and the integration of new acquisitions. Her dynamic oversight of strategic leadership activities and management communications enhances executive information-sharing and decision-making that provides the foundation for enterprise-wide commitment to company goals.
Ms. Brown directs the development of innovative and effective internal communications for CACI's widespread and diverse workforce, whose over approximately 20,000 employees are located worldwide. She has overseen the creation and publication of several books on CACI's corporate culture, company best business practices, and recruiting and retention, strengthening employee unity and reinforcing business practices that support CACI's strategic plans.
With significant experience in crisis communications, Ms. Brown is adept at quickly mobilizing crisis response teams if and when the company is faced with such challenges. Her strategic planning and consistent implementation abilities are pivotal in CACI's outreach to the media and the public. When necessary, she has implemented multifaceted plans to interface proactively and reactively to the media, special interest groups, government agencies, Congress, and employees. She leads the company's congressional affairs initiatives to provide ongoing representation of CACI's business, views, and input to Congress and congressional staff.
Ms. Brown developed and leads CACI's communications program for M&A, an integral part of the company's growth strategy. In this area, she developed the defined communications methodology and manages the teams that provide the external and internal communications that successfully support the integration of large numbers of new employees.
Ms. Brown has been a champion of CACI's efforts to build recognition for the company and its people. Her role was critical in developing and implementing CACI's reputation and brand, positioning the company for both new markets and continued growth. She has also been vital to CACI's investor relations communications, overseeing the creation of annual reports and directing messaging that effectively communicates CACI's growth strategy and develops positive financial media relations. Ms. Brown established the company's philanthropy program, with particular emphasis on education, veterans, and veterans with disabilities. The company has received numerous awards and recognition for its sustained support of America's veterans.
Ms. Brown is a member of the Professional Services Council (PSC) Legislative Action Network and sits on PSC's Communications Committee and Government Affairs Committee, which provides valuable information exchange on legislative, regulatory, and related policy issues; and is a member of the Women's Foreign Policy Group, which promotes women's leadership in international affairs. In community outreach activities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area where CACI is headquartered, she is an active supporter of the American Heart Association and Comfort for America's Uniformed Services (Cause). Within CACI, her leadership achievements have been acknowledged with numerous company awards and recognition.
