CAAS IV is a strategic sourcing initiative between Air Combat Command (ACC) and the Air Force District of Washington Contracting Directorate (AFDW/PK). The CAAS IV PMO, located within the ACC Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC) Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Division (ACC AMIC/DRA), provides overall management and administration of the CAAS IV ID/IQ contract. While ACC AMIC/DRA has granted AFDW/PK blanket ordering authority, all issues related to the ID/IQ contract and overall management of the CAAS IV program shall be addressed with the CAAS IV PMO.
The CAAS IV Program, managed by Air Combat Command (ACC) Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC), is a strategic initiative entered into with the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) Contracting Directorate (AFDW/PK). ACC AMIC supports Headquarters (HQ) ACC mission requirements, and AFDW supports HQ Air Force (HAF), Secretary of the Air Force (SAF) organizations, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), and AFDW/PK customer mission requirements. HQ ACC is the primary force provider of combat airpower to America's war fighting commands. ACC operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management, and electronic-combat aircraft. ACC also provides command, control and communications systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and conducts global information operations. HAF incorporates all elements of the United States Air Force (USAF) mission to deliver sovereign options for the defense of the United States of America and its global interests. SAF has responsibility for acquisition and auditing, comptroller issues/actions, inspector general matters, legislative affairs, and public affairs. AFOSI identifies, exploits and neutralizes criminal, terrorist, and intelligence threats to the USAF, Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Government.
